Dress code These teacher and principle needs to be taken to school board!Since they are so called going to go by the dress code in the handbook, we as parents need to make sure the handbook is changed!Never have i heard that alhluenhome a child with a patch in his/her pants can not wear them to school!Myself can not afford to buy new pants just because there is a hole in them.I know most stores only sell the pants that have worn spots on the pants but since alcorn central middle school staff has decided to start sending kids home due to worn spots in their pants. Also they have said all pants must have pockets!Well let's count to see how many teachers are wearing pants without pockets.Or since these kids can not have holes in their pants what about skirts, how can the kids wear skirts because there is skin showing!Due to the fact skin will be showing are they going to stop the cheerleaders from wearing their skirts? What about basketball players they wear shorts also maybe they need to play in pants! This is something that must be stopped!Acms staff needs to stop bullying kids!Let them come to school and to learn instead of wasting time fussing about their clothes unless there is reason! Jeans with holes or tears above the knee are prohibited. This is word for word out of the 7th and 8th grade handbook. It does not say they can wear them with patches.I have a child at acms and i have one in hs.My child wore pants with holes that were patched and nothing was said. When they wore pants with holes i had to carry pants to the school. It is called having rules. It is called following them.It really is not that hard.It would probably help if you looked at your child's pants before they left the house each morning.I think your comments about cheerleaders and basketball players really show your ignorance.I think what you need to do is chill, look at your child each morning and if they are out of dress code send them in to change their clothes. This is exactly what is wrong with the schools today. You are always quick to blame the school but nothing is ever the kid's fault. My children came to acms from another school from this county. At the previous school we never heard anything from them.At acms the teachers have made contact with me several times, i have met with them and i even got a call from the counselor to see how my child's first week at acms was.Thank you acms for caring enough about my child to do what you are doing for themand one other thing, i do not think it does any good to talk about this on this pathetic website. That way, everyone is on the small level as dresscode.School is for being educated!First and foremost! Not being fashion divas! You have working parents, going into debt for 11 years fashion is insane! We've lost our sense of respect and values!I've never been into, keeping up with the jones or williams. That way, everyone is on the small level as dresscode.School is for being educated!First and foremost! Not being fashion divas! You have working parents, going into debt for 11 years fashion is insane! We've lost our sense of respect and values!I've never been into, keeping up with the jones or williams.Get a true sense of self and stop this fashion non sense!Educate our kids and stop dividing them! I agree with you bout the uniforms. That might would help stopping the bullying that goes on among the kids.If every kid wore the same thing then what else would another kid have to pick on them about?I'm sure they would start in on their weight, hair, or something. I assure you, i cant stand the dress code at central just as much as you.It only gets worce when your child gets in highschool.Middle school has it easy, they wear shorts, very short, highschool, you wont be able to find shorts long enough to fit the code.I know when my child was in school there, she had a class with a boy who always wore the same pare of pants every day, with a rip in them.He got in trouble for them every single day, but he couldnt afford any.For about a month they let him just put ducktape on it.But then other students would wear their pants with millions of ducktape on them, so they started putting kids in iss.He ended up telling coach lil jon who is now the principle, he told him he could by new pants. So coach lj got some teachers up, and they took him to get two pare of pants without holes. So all you need to do is talk to someone from the school, its not that hard. They wont look down on you, i promise. Some of the teacher are rude and snobby but thoes arent the ones you need to ask for help.If you cant at least ask for help for your child to stop getting in trouble then someone deserves to be punished. If you just dont want hammy downs or people to think you dont need or want for anything then dont vent about it.There is also yard sales, and buy sell and trade on facebook. And i see your on the internet.Maybe cut the internet off so you can support your child! Have a nice day. There's a lot of different opinions here, so i'm going to give mine.I agree, if your child has a patch on his jeans, he should be able to wear them if.It's as simple as you make it seem. (No skin showing elsewhere, plain patch, etc. )And you need to make it a priority to get a pair of pants for your child asap.Tell the school you will get a pair of pants within a week. That should be enough time for you to come up with a pair of jeans from somewhere! And superintendent smith i'm sure is the driving force behind that policy so no need to go that route. The counselor at acms, stephanie, is great!Very nice lady is pretty much the only one that shows concern above beyond her"Title".The internet comment was good, but you didn't think beyond that comment smart one!Maybe, just maybe, she was at a library or friends using the internet, but i get your point, if ya got money for internet, ya got money for your child a pair of pants, if u don't, then you have serious priority issues! As sad as it is to say, it is true what your last name is who you know!If you are a spouse, child, parent, friend, of a board member, or school employee or you donate to every school activity, function, fundraiser, etc you are mighty right by the eyes of the school! Guest wrote: chick here I'm glad you think that unifors will eliminate all name brad cometition because everyone knows that ralph lauren doesn't make khaki pants or white shirts.Just stop teaching your kid that the rules don't apply to them. Ralph lauren is known for khaki's and white shirts. My husband has plenty in his closet.Uniforms are good for kids.Bullying has to stop.Schools need zero tolerance for bullying and verbal abuse from students.Negative behavior is learned. Corinth high schools fares no better, with some goof woman named johnson one of the worst. If this is the case, get the cheerleaders long skirts and / or pants. You are an example why out state is ranked lowest. You have no right telling someone their child is shitty! That's rude shows your level of maturity. : )Oh, i've offended you.So sorry.I'm sure that person's child is not shitty.I mean, clearly, a child with parents who attack their school and teachers in a public forum, plus complain incessantly about clearly stated rules in a handbook they were supposed to have read, accepted, and signed at the beginning of the school year. That has to make the child respectful, obedient, and sweet.Oh, definitely. No doubt. No doubt. So your a trolll and a dumb ass!You sound so ignorant! You are calling the child a name bc of something the parent did. No doubt. You are a pathetic person to call that child a name. You do not know the parent or the child but what ralph lauren t shirt will happen is it will come back to bite you.I am a firm believer that if you talk about anther persons child, your very own child will do something to make you wish you had of zipped your lips!
